Reclaiming Your Voice When You Feel Silenced

Last week, I had the absolute honour of delivering my first in-person workshop. An experience that truly reminded me why I do what I do. Supporting women on their journey to reconnect with their self-worth and believe they are made for more is at the heart of my work, and this session was a powerful reminder of that mission.

 

When Your Voice Feels Lost

As a therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how experiences like trauma, emotional pain, or difficult relationships can profoundly impact self-esteem. When someone’s confidence has been broken down, they often begin to question their worth, their abilities, and even their right to be heard. It’s heartbreaking but also, it’s not the end of the story. Because while your voice may have been silenced, it can always be reclaimed.

 

Finding Your Way Back to You

Rebuilding confidence after it’s been damaged isn’t about becoming someone new  it’s about remembering who you were before the world made you forget. It’s about reconnecting with that inner voice that knows you are worthy, capable, and deserving of more.

In my upcoming book, Believe You’re Made For More, I explore how self-doubt, comparison, and low self-worth can keep us playing small and how, with the right tools and mindset, we can begin to rise above them. The book is all about rediscovering your voice, your confidence, and your belief in yourself.

 

The Power of Reconnection

During the workshop, all the women in the group opened up with honesty, courage, and reflection. It was a powerful reminder of how healing begins the moment we start to speak, when we allow ourselves to share our story, to be seen, and to listen to that quiet inner truth that says, 'You are enough.' I left feeling deeply moved and inspired, reminded once again that even after silence, your voice still matters. Because when you reclaim your voice, you reclaim your power. And when you reclaim your power, you open the door to the life you truly deserve.
